Scheduled Routes
As stated, pilots should be starting scheduled routes with Leg #1.
- View the Fleet page and find the aircraft you want to fly. When starting a new route, you SHOULD be starting at Hub.
- Make a note of that aircrafts current location. Ensure you are also at the same location as the aircraft. Jumpseat travel as needed.
- Select ‘Flights’ from the dropdown menu.
- Bid on the flight/route you want to fly, and select the aircraft from the dropdown menu.
- If you want to fly to a specific airport, perform an airport search and find which Route/Flight# you should fly to get there.
- NOTE: Only 1 bid can exist on a plane at a time. If you bid on a flight/plane, you have 72 hours to fly that route before your bid is canceled.
- Once your bid has been submitted, you’re ready to go. Open ACARS and begin your flight.
- NOTE: It is the pilots responsibility to perform all Pre-Flight and Flight Planning for each flight.
- Pilots are required to make note of payload and fuel remaining from previous flights. Make sure you start with at least that much fuel. Add fuel as needed. This helps ensure realistic costs.
- If, during your planning, you know you will need to stop for fuel, you will need to start a new flight in ACARS after refueling. Plan accordingly and know if and where you plan to stop and file accordingly. You will use the same flight #.
