Free Flights
Pilots are able to set their own routes. To do this, simply open ACARS and create a new flight. Enter the following information:
- Free Flights MUST start and ultimately end at your HUB.
- Free Flight Routes must NOT exceed 5-6 legs.
- Aircraft used for free flights must be returned to its assigned hub within 2 weeks of departure. Pilots who have abandoned a plane without returning it after 2 weeks will be charged to transfer the plane back.
- Your flight number is 4 digits. Flight #: SPJ9XXX (XXX is your Pilot ID; SPJ9007, SPJ9125)
- Be sure you’re selecting ‘Passenger (Charter)’, or ‘Positioning’.
- Enter your Departure and Arrival airport.
- ACARS should be able to add any airports not currently in the database. Should you not be able to get an airport to load, please advise SPJ1 with the airport name and ICAO and it will be added within 24 hours.
- Select the aircraft you intend to use for your flight. Plane MUST be currently available from your current location as well.
